TUCSON, Ariz. — The CW has been the butt of jokes throughout 2023.
But the 17-year-old network might get the last laugh.
In January, the CW announced a multi-year deal to broadcast LIV Golf tournaments, eliciting a medley of insults and barbs about the Saudi golf league being aired on the same network as Nancy Drew; Roswell, New Mexico; and Recipe for Disaster.
But that was then. Now, the CW is a burgeoning quasi-sports network that, in addition to LIV, has deals with the ACC, NASCAR, WWE, Inside the NFL, and the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, featuring Toledo and Wyoming at 4:30 p.
