Hokies fall just short to Bruins
Tech got off to a hot start against UCLA, putting up three runs in the first inning. Senior center fielder Emma Ritter sent the first pitch of the game right up the middle for a single. After Ritter stole second, the Hokies added another baserunner on a single from senior infielder Cameron Fagan.
With two on and just one out, junior Cori McMillan did what she has done best all year: send the ball over the fence. The home run marked her 21st of the year and put Tech up 3-0.
